A joint committee of the Parliament of the United Kingdom is a parliamentary committee formed to examine a particular issue, whose membership is from both . New Zealand’s select committee system enables members of Parliament to examine issues in more detail than is possible in the House of Representatives. Tuesday 16 January in Committee Room 4A, Palace of Westminster. At am. The Committee, with the assistance of representatives of the General Synod, will consider the following draft Measures. The Ecclesiastical Committee examines draft Measures presented to it by the Legislative Committee of the General Synod of the Church of England.
It reports to Parliament on whether or not it considers the measures to be expedient. It generally asks members of the General Synod to assist it. The Ecclesiastical Commissioners were, in England and Wales, a body corporate, whose full title was Ecclesiastical and Church Estates Commissioners for commissioners were authorized to determine the distribution of revenues of the Church of England, and they made extensive changes in how revenues were distributed.
The modern successor body thereof are the Church Commissioners.
